Andy Murray is the founder and CEO of Mercury 11 (www.mercury11.com), a marketing transformation agency that creates growth by helping companies take advantage of what disruptive technology now makes possible.
A serial entrepreneur and marketer with an unusual blend of creative and technology experience, Murray has worked with clients in both B2B and B2C ranging from Procter & Gamble, Walmart, Carrefour, Pepsico, DSM, LG, and Wendy’s to innovative startups.
Prior to starting Mercury11 in October of 2011, Murray was Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi X, an agency he founded in 1997. Saatchi X was a pioneer in shopper marketing and quickly became a global leader in its field with 13 offices built by Murray across the world in Asia PaciRic, Europe, MEA and North America.
Before founding Saatchi & Saatchi X, Murray was VP of Marketing and Creative for the Hallmark subsidiary DaySpring Cards. Earlier in his career, he held several technology-related positions at Procter & Gamble, including membership in the industry-leading P&G Walmart team in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Through Murray’s efforts, Mercury11 is the 2012 title sponsor of the first ever TedX conference in Bentonville, Ark., where Murray will serve as MC. Murray also inspired the creation of and Chaired the University of Arkansas Center for Retailing’s Emerging Trends Conference. Founded in 2000 and attended by Fortune 500 executives, the Conference is the site of the annual awards of the Andy Murray Shopper Marketing Scholarship funded by Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Kevin Roberts.
A frequent speaker and writer on the future of marketing, entrepreneurship, and how to unlock the creative potential of organizations, Murray serves on several Boards and non-proRits. These include: the Executive Council at The Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Board of New York based Control Group and the board of Compassion House. He also is a New York Board Advisor for the Selling to the Masses Product Innovation Incubator and a lifetime Honorary Board member of the University of Arkansas Center for Retailing Excellence.
